Although Labor Day is popularly considered to be the unofficial end of summer, motorcyclists in Kentucky still have time to enjoy the open road. This fact, however, shouldn’t cause bikers to let their guard down, since the potential for accidents is still present.
In fact, as the cooler months approach, many motorists may be thinking less and less about taking precautions for motorcyclists. Fewer motorcycles may be on the road, but if drivers aren’t paying enough attention, serious accidents can happen.
One representative of the Kentucky State Patrol noted that he will be dedicating his efforts to reducing the number of motorcycle accidents. He offered a few tips for bikers and other motorists to keep in mind as they hit the road:
